|Reserved Matters submissionA lot of people have asked why we have not already made a start on the project to regenerate the Sheer House site. The answer, of course, is that there are a lot of technical and practical steps before we can properly start work on site, especially the preparation of the designs – the ‘plans’.|
These are made up of a great number of reports, drawings, illustrations, and technical documents. Taken together these form our Reserved Matters application. The Reserved Matters refer to the details of the designs – the look and character of the whole development – from the layouts of the internal ducting to the design of the external shop fronts, from the stone used for the steps from the public car park down to the main square, to the species of plants intended for the terraces – all of the things that have been discussed and presented over the past few months.
Yesterday evening we begun the process of submitting these documents (the Reserved Matters) to Woking Borough Council. There are still several days to go before the documents are all available for public review as they have to be formatted and validated by the council for uploading to the planning portal. People will notice many of their suggestions and comments are reflected in the designs that will be scrutinised by the Council’s planning officers.
Once the submission has been validated, we will let all know and provide a direct link to the planning portal on the council website. We will also be uploading some of the design documents to our website here: https://bit.ly/2LK3FDO
