Sheer House Redevelopment |
Good afternoon, Thank you for signing up to receive updates about the redevelopment of Sheer House. We are greatly appreciative of the engagement from both the community and local authority so far. The scheme is being brought forward by Retirement Villages Group (RVG), a specialist provider of homes for later living. While our plans are still in the early stages we are excited about the creation of a new community setting within the center of West Byfleet. We will continue to use our Facebook page to post updates and engage with the community but please feel free to email us atinfo@sheerhouseredevelopment.co.uk should you have any questions or comments. We will send out important updates about the redevelopment via this newsletter which you are free to opt out of at anytime by clicking the unsubscribe button at the bottom of this email.Hoarding update In an effort to respond to local concerns about safety and security at Sheer House, we have made the decision to hoard the site early. This is to address the reported instances of anti-social behaviour and ensure the safety of well-being of neighbouring residents and businesses. Over the next few days, you may see the perimeter of the site begin to be fenced off in preparation for works to begin within the coming week. The installation is expected to take 10-14 working days to complete, which is dependent on the weather. Workings hours will be between 8am-5:30pm Monday- Friday and between 8am-2pm on Saturdays. No works will take place on Sundays. The hoarding will originally be plain and installed in concreted drums to avoid damage to the ground. Graphics will be added at a later date, but for now our main focus is to ensure that the community feels the site is safe and secure. The hoarding contractor is aware of the historic notice boards which are situated on Station Approach Road and will look to install the hoarding behind these boards so that they can still be used by the community. If for any reason this is not possible they will re-provide something similar on the hoarding for public use. We do not anticipate any significant disruption to local residents or businesses while the hoarding is being erected. In the unlikely event there are any problems, please do not hesitate to contact the project team. We can be reached by phone at 0800 061 4979 or by email: info@sheerhouseredevelopment.co.uk.
