For the 3rd year running the shops stayed open late on Thursday December 7th. To add to the festive occasion, children from west Byfleet Junior and Infants Schools sang carols in Waitrose, the Rotary Club of Woking brought their sleigh and played festive music in the street outside Waterfalls and a Jazz band attracted shoppers into Apples and Pears.
Richard Wilson, County Councillor for West Byfleet donated money towards the lights and decorations and the generous shoppers in Waitrose put their green tokens into the box and raised the magnificent sum of £463.00 to pay for the big Christmas tree and lights.
The community is working together in West Byfleet to make it a great place to shop, relax, eat, work and live.
